Raising the Bar for Health Care Performance

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is an organization dedicated to influencing the health care community to achieve greater success in the area of healthcare quality. "Pursuing Perfection," a national demonstration of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is just one of IHI’s initiatives that is having a powerful and positive effect on patients, providers, and the management of health care.

Through this initiative, health care providers are creating a new perspective on what health care can be. By focusing on results, examining the coordination and communication of care providers and addressing the concerns of patients, physicians, nurses and care providers are discovering the positive results of pursuing perfection.
